When you’ve had too much pumpkin (is that even possible?), try another one of our yummy seasonal favorites: sweet potato.
These simple Sweet Potato Protein Brownies by our friend @ohforksake on Instagram are one of our favorite recipes that satisfies the sweet tooth and also delivers a healthy dose of Organic Protein! Plus they are gluten free, nut free, dairy free, grain free and paleo if you opt for honey. It’s a perfect combination of healthy goodness that makes everyone happy!
Here’s the recipe:
2-3 Cups grated sweet potato
1/2 Cup melted coconut oil
1/3 Cup honey or maple syrup
2 Tsp. vanilla extract
3 Tbsp. unsweetened cacao powder
1 Tsp. baking powder
1 Tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. coconut flour
1 Serving of The Natural Citizen Organic Protein
Preheat your oven to 365 degrees. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Next, add in the remaining ingredients. Once combined, pour mixture into a greased 9-inch round baking pan. Bake for 25-35 minutes and enjoy!
